The risk score sent workers to my home before I could respond

In March 2026, Allegheny County Department of Human Services sent CPS workers to my home after the Allegheny Family Screening Tool marked a report as high risk. The score seemed to use an old address and public benefits records from a period when my family was already under stress.

The CPS worker who came to the door was not cruel, but the process started with suspicion before I could explain. I asked what information I could correct and was told the score itself was not something parents could review. That made the visit feel less like support and more like being judged by a record I could not see.
