Incorrect Academic Risk Flag

In May 2026, Pittsburgh Public Schools still showed me as high risk in the student support dashboard because of assignments I missed during a family emergency. I was back in class in Oakland and my grades had improved, but the flag did not seem to update with the rest of my record.

One teacher pulled me aside in front of other students and asked if I was "still having problems." A school counselor told me the student support risk flag system refreshed on its own schedule. I wanted support when I was struggling, not a label that kept explaining me after the situation changed.
